Amber Portwood, start of the hit television reality show Teen mom settled an ongoing custody battle with Andrew Glennon, father of her one-year-old son James. The custody battle began after Portwood was accused of threatening and assaulting Glennon on July 4^th while holding her son.

Following the incident, Glennon filed a restraining order against Portword. Her visits with James were limited. Glennon also filed a court request in August asking to move back to his home state of California, having officially given upon his tumultuous relationship with Portwood. Glennon had previously relocated to Indiana to be closer to Portwood, but filed his request after Portwood fought his desire to relocate back to California with James.

The mediation result included Glennon agreeing to remain in Indiana for now and have primary physical custody of James. Legally both parents share custody.

There is an upcoming evidentiary hearing scheduled and once it has happened, the court will then look again at Glennon’s request to relocate with his son.

According to official documents, Glennon was successful in establishing paternity of James. The mediation also included an agreement to work on a permanent arrangement that is suitable for everyone and to seek assistance with parenting support. Portwood is allowed to spend time with James, but she must abide by Indiana’s rule for parenting a child less than three years of age. She will have custody of him for three non-consecutive days each week for 10 hours and will be allowed to have three hour visits on the other days. She also has custody on certain holidays for eight hours.
